Pace target and an honest guessing rule

05 · DESIGN

Preparation plan

A 4-month plan. Pedagogy carries marks in every section, so learn it as a thread, not a single chapter.

  1. PHASE 1

    Pedagogy base

    Month 12 h a day

    • Child Development & Pedagogy theory with 20 MCQs a day.
    • Language I and II grammar refresh.
    • Download the notice and confirm your paper and language medium.
  2. PHASE 2

    Content and pedagogy

    Months 2–32–3 h a day

    • Maths and EVS (or Science / Social Studies) content at Class V or VIII level.
    • Subject pedagogy after every content topic.
    • For Social Studies: Assam History and Geography bank sections.
  3. PHASE 3

    Mocks

    Month 43 h a day

    • Two 150-question mocks a week; target a steady 100+.
    • Revise pedagogy terms and theorists with recall cards.

A typical week

MonCDP + Maths content
TueLanguage I + EVS or Science
WedCDP + Maths pedagogy
ThuLanguage II (English) + Social Studies
FriSubject pedagogy + mixed MCQs
SatFull mock + review
SunRecall cards and rest

Habits that hold up

  • Read the question stem twice: pedagogy questions often hinge on a single word.
  • Answer every question.
  • Think like a teacher: the child-centred option is often the intended one.

Start with a 50–30–20 split of learn, practise and revise, then let your own diagnostic results reshape it. joyjatra plans effort; it never predicts rank, cut-off or selection.
