Mock tests that teach: timer, palette and the real marking

A mock is only as useful as the review after it. How to take full and mini mocks in জয়যাত্ৰা, and the 30-minute review that makes them count.

Mocks train what reading cannot: pace, nerves and decisions under a timer. জয়যাত্ৰা gives you two kinds.

During the mock

  • Use the palette to see answered, marked and unseen questions at a glance.
  • Mark for review anything you want to return to; don’t sit on one question.
  • Watch the timer. A warning appears with two minutes left; at zero the mock submits itself.
  • Keyboard on a laptop: 1–4 to answer, arrows to move, M to mark, P for the palette.

The 30-minute review

  1. Look at the arithmetic first: marks, right, wrong, skipped and how much negative marking cost you.
  2. Check your pace against the exam’s budget. Where did time go?
  3. Open the mistake notebook and tag every wrong answer with a reason.
  4. Turn the three most important errors into recall cards.
  5. Write one sentence: what will I do differently next mock?
